Beauty and the Geek,

The Beauty and the Geek is the Italian version of reality show Beauty and the Geek, aired for the first time since channel The WB in the United States in 2005. It has been defined by the authors as a "social experiment" is produced by Ashton Kutcher and Nick Santora.

History and description 

Was aired for the first time since channel The WB in the United States in 2005. In February 2006 he debuted in the UK on channel E4. Format of Fox, bought in Italy by Endemol Italy, the show pairs women physically attractive, more or less correspond to the stereotype of people who usually do not keep up their own culture (but still some interest), with "geek" men scholars, with a degree qualified and / or intellectual interests, but mostly just generally brought to the society, challenging each other more appropriate fields in a bid to encourage them to share their knowledge. The women will try to study academic subjects or techniques, how to build a rocket or repair a car and the men will have to improve their social skills and their fitness. The pairs are housed in a large villa which is set by the show. In Italy there were currently two editions.

The comic engine transmission is clearly an almost complete lack of harmony between the two members of each pair, caused radically different priorities agreed for his life, which contrasts with the need for competitors to work together to achieve a common result. Presenters also have good game play on competitors by drawing more or less obliquely to the two stereotypes that are named in the program. The American format is therefore totally distorted playing more on the stereotype that couples in the effective mutual growth of the race.[citation needed]

The first season saw seven U.S. "pupae" and seven "nerds." The second nine pairs instead.
