Jersey Shore is an American reality television series which premiered on MTV on December 3, 2009 in the United States. The series follows the lives of eight housemates—Angelina "Jolie" Pivarnick, Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, and Vinny Guadagnino— spending their summer on the Jersey Shore. Season 2 follows the cast escaping the cold northeast to Miami. MTV has confirmed that Season 3 will see the cast going back to the Jersey Shore for the summer.
The first season had five special episodes, with some airing after select episodes. To date, season one has been released on DVD in Regions 1.
