WASHINGTON, Sep. 24, 2010 (Xinhua News Agency) -- A robber has taken an unknown number of people in hostages at a bank in the U.S. state of Florida, MSNBC reported Friday.
The hostage-taking took place at a Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) branch near the University of Miami, said police from Boral Gables, Florida.
They said negotiations, which involve the FBI and local bomb squad, are currently under way at the bank.
Roads have been closed in the area near the bank. Further details, including the identity of the robber, remain
unknown.
