In a telephone address to thousands of workers in Karachi and Hyderabad simultaneously from London, MQM chief Altaf Husain said that peace could not be establishment in the world by use of force, urging the US to honorably free the detained Pakistani neuroscientist.

He said that the courage displayed by Dr. Aafia Siddiqi during her trial made the entire nation proud. He said this huge rally is the voice of the Pakistani nation.

He asked the US government to explain what crime Dr. Aafia was jailed for 86 years for.

The MQM chief urged the US administration, European Union, United Nations and Human Rights advocates to take notice of Dr. Aafia's sentence.

Terming Siddiqi's sentence deplorable, he said that more than 90 percent of the people of the world are against US policies.

Husain said that he was least bothered by the allegations leveled against him.

The MQM, he said, is spreading fast in the country and its government will turn Pakistan into a respectable country
