MQM politician, who was a senior member of the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) party, died on his way home from work as a result of multiple stab wounds and blunt trauma to the head.

He was found outside his house in Green Lane, Edgware, shortly after 17:00 BST.
News of the murder spread quickly to Karachi, home of Farooq's family, where people took to the streets and torched cars upon hearing the news.
And police have now called upon potential witnesses of the violence to make themselves known so they can try and hunt Dr Farooq's killers.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: 'Police want to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time or saw the attack.'
He added: 'A post-mortem took place at Finchley Mortuary yesterday and gave cause of death as multiple stab wounds and blunt trauma to the head.'
Dr Farooq fled to England after claiming asylum in 1999 and reports now suggest the killing was a politically motivated assassination.
