When actress Eva Longoria was heading eastbound on Hollywood Boulevard Wednesday evening, another driver made an unsafe left turn into a parking lot and inadvertently struck the Desperate Housewives star’s car, Press Association reports. Authorities at the scene of the accident said Longoria complained of pain, but did not sustain serious injuries as a result of the crash.
When news first broke of the two-car accident, it was reported that the actress was unable to swerve out of the way when the other driver – who caused the crash – unexpectedly turned in front of her, resulting in Longoria striking the other vehicle with her car. However, the Associated Press and Entertainment Tonight Online have confirmed that the actress’ car was the one that was struck by another vehicle.
Police are investigating the incident, but they have suggested that Longoria will not be held responsible for the damage inflicted. In related news, Longoria has announced that she has made a spoof rap video, in which she dons a sexy black swimsuit, when she hosts the 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards in Madrid on November 7.
