Kelsey Grammer divorce details are emerging from Grammer's split from Camille Donatacci!

Kelsey Grammer and Camille Donatacci's split isn't nearly as dirty as other recent celebrity divorces (we're looking at you, Tiger), but they have gotten into a short bout of he said, she said.

According to TMZ, Camille Donatacci told friends the couple's 13-year marriage began to crumble when Kelsey moved to New York for a starring turn in La Cage Aux Folles. Although the move was supposed to be temporary, a source close to Donatacci said it became pretty obvious "Kelsey loved New York, his friends and his freedom more than his marriage."

Camille Donatacci has also complained that Kelsey Grammer didn't call his kids on Father's Day, when he was in New York and they were at home in California.

The source said, "She doesn't know what Kelsey is doing in New York, but he's made it pretty clear he wants nothing to do with marriage anymore. She didn't see it coming."

But Kelsey Grammer wants his fans to know that Camille's account of Father's Day isn't exactly accurate. Grammer told TMZ that he was surprised his kids didn't call him -- it being Father's Day, not Kid's Day, after all -- and that he even texted Camille earlier in the day to wish her own father a happy day, with the hope it would remind her to have the kids call him.

Kelsey Grammer said, "I and two of my old buddies drove upstate to spend a little time in the mountains. We stopped for dinner and when we got to the house (which has no cell service, by the way), I called them to see how they were doing as I do almost every night."

"Perhaps it was foolish of me to expect a call on Father's Day, but frankly I did."

Kelsey Grammer added, "Mason had been upset earlier that day because she was missing me." So why didn't Camille have the child call her dad? Guess it wouldn't look as good in the custody settlement papers -- you know, with her planning the whole uncaring father bit.

Grammer also said that he and Donatacci had been discussing a separation for a while, and added a strange footnote out of nowhere:

"Certainly, the time will come when I do see another woman. I expect Camille to see other men. I hope people and the press will understand that we are both free to carry on with our lives."

Is Kelsey Grammer setting the scene to debut a new girlfriend already? Perhaps that's the real reason behind the split.
