Post office shooting HENNING

U.S. Postal Service-HENNING, Tenn. (AP) — Authorities say there has been a shooting at a post office in the Tennessee town of Henning.
Vice Mayor Debra Taylor told The Associated Press the shooting happened Monday morning. She couldn't confirm a report by WMC-TV that two people were killed.

Beth Barnett, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Postal Service spokeswoman, said there had been an incident at the post office but she didn't yet have further details.

Michael Lockett, an eyewitness at a market near the post office, said there were police outside the building.

Henning is about 45 miles northeast of Memphis.
