The Rice, Texas tornado was a ferocious and powerful storm that carved a seven mile path through Navarro County, destroying five homes. Eric Meyers, an emergency management coordinator in Navarro County, videotaped the tornado while driving in his truck.
According to washintonpost.com, Meyers repeatedly yells, “We are in the tornado!”
Many experts say videos of tornadoes are very useful in studying how they form and maneuver.
KBOInews reports Sonia Butler, a resident of Navarro Country who lost her home, said, “You could hear the wind coming through the house and it was like a big suction. It sounded like a train. After we came out of the restroom, my house was just gone.”
