So far Moscow hopes the issue will be discussed before the Russia-NATO summit during the NATO secretary general's visit to Russia, local media said.

The summit between Russia and NATO is scheduled for November 20 in Lisbon.

According to the source, Russia is seeking for trust and equitable cooperation with a long-term interaction reflecting bilateral interests.

Despite the number of decisions implemented jointly, Russians has remained skeptical about NATO due to the long-term confrontation and attitude toward the organization as a legacy of the Cold War.
