Chicago Marathon To Run Sunday
The Chicago Marathon route runs through 29 neighborhoods through the city, starting at Grant Park and ending there as well. The route poses a challenge for Ernst van Dyk, the South African running in the marathon on Sunday. This is the 37-year olds first attempt at running the Chicago Marathon.

The Chicago Marathon has been running each year since September 25, 1977, when the marathon was called Mayor Daley Marathon, which drew runners from all over the world totaling 4200 participants.
The flat and fast course has made it one of the fastest growing marathons in the world. Many runners use the course to pursue personal bests in their marathon running.
