Italian celebrity chef and the current host of Food Network’s Giada at Home, Giada De Laurentiis is rumored to have been cozy with musician John Mayer in New York City as reported by a media outlet.
Giada is denying the speculations and have released a statement voicing her concerns. Accordingly, when a Star correspondent approached Giada while she was co-hosting a fundraising event, Giada told the reporter that she did not see John Mayer while at the Food and Wine Festival in New York as opposed to the claims of a source about an incident in Gansevoort Hotel.
The statement also expressed that Giada and Mayer were not friends nor acquaintances. Finally, it ended saying, “It is unfortunate Star would publish these malicious untruths without reporting the fact that Giada was with her husband Todd that weekend in New York, along with their family and friends. Giada De Laurentiis and her family deserve an apology and we demand an immediate retraction.”
The 40 year old daughter of actress Veronice De Laurentiis and actor-producer Alex De Benedetti is presently married to Anthropologie designer, Todd Thompson.
