Despite being an exclusive Muslim festivity, under some unique social conditions in the State, Eid obtains a universal facet. Indeed it will be fairly not possible to separate Eid from a general platform of celebrations to a restricted ‘Muslim household’ event in the State.
Of course, Eid celebrations complete when it comes to be a festival of Non-Muslims too. Its typifications can simply be visible both in social life situations and office life. Muslims will serve their Non-Muslim neighbors with Eid special foods inviting them into Eid parties and functions. The State has also garnered fame for its special Eid dishes. Truly, each part of the State Malabar, Middle Kerala and South Kerala has their own varieties of food items for Eid celebrations.
Nevertheless, what keeps up Kerala absolutely distinct in Eid celebrations is its cultural implications. Keralites are a sect of people, not only famed for high-literacy rates, but for an exemplary cultural and religious harmony also. Festivities of each community and each religious sect will be celebrated as of an entire society. That makes things different at all here.
