Sarah Palin On 'Dancing with the Stars,
Stars fans are asking today in light of the controversy surrounding whether or not former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin was booed during her visit to the show.
There seems to be a split opinion on whether DWTS contestant Bristol Palin mom was on the receiving end of some political opinions or if the crowd was simply displeased with Jennifer Grey's low scores (which were announced moments before Palin was introduced.)
Co-host Brooke Burke pondered during the broadcast, "There's booing in the ballroom. We don't know why," but the show's executive producer Conrad Green assured E!, "The booing heard was a direct response from the audience to Jennifer Grey and Derek (Hough)'s scores which were perceived as relatively low for a dance that received a standing ovation."
Palin, who sat with her youngest daughter Piper, looked startled by the crowd's reception to her. "Bristol the Pistol" said of her mom's odds of returning to the set, "Hopefully she'll be able to make it, (but) who knows if it will be next week or whenever, I'm just happy she was able to see one of them." Watch the video below and decide whether you think Palin got chilly reception or the wrong end of fans disagreement with the judges:
While some outlets were outraged with the possibility of intentional Palin booing (Entertainment Weekly called the incident "irritating," "ugly and enraging behavior") others found humor. Check out the bit from Jimmy Kimmel Live! in which Mrs. Palin has an unfavorable reaction of her own:
