CT Governor Race Tom Foley vs Dan Malloy Results

Election day results may have been easily decided for many states, but there's several which haven't yet determine their winners. Bridgeport, Connecticut will be the deciding factor in the hotly contested CT Governor race. Democrat Dan Malloy is being predicted by some as the winner if and when this goes to court, and a recount happens. However, don't expect his opponent, Dan Malloy to let him get an easy victory. Right now the race is too close to call.

While Richard Blumenthal officially defeated Linda McMahon, the Governor's race has become the hot political wrestling match. According to Hartford Courant, the Connecticut Governor's race between Democrat Dannel Malloy and Tom Foley may not be decided for quite some time. In fact it may take weeks to decide if an when this goes to court and a recount is ordered. As of the early morning counts on Wednesday, Foley was leading 50% to 49% with a difference of about 11,083 votes.

That difference may be made up thanks to Bridgeport, CT and a major balloting issue there. Bridgeport had 21,000 ballots for just 70,000 registered voters, so by the end of voting day they were running out of ballots.

There is very likely going to be a recount in this particular election which the CT Secretary of the State said could take weeks to decide. In the video below she discusses the balloting issue, voter turnout and other issues with CT voting. So far Connecticut has voted all democrats into office, so it seems this election may go the same way, but it's going to take some time to officially announce the results.

Who do you think will win the CT Governor Race, Democrat Dan Malloy, or Republican Tom Foley? Were you satisfied with the results in your own state's elections?
