Bcs Standings, The loss by No. 1 Alabama off any slim chance that the Buckeyes could be left out of national championship game with an unbeaten record, which some had theorized could have been a possibility if Alabama and Boise State also finished undefeated.
The Buckeyes were No. 2 in both polls going into the weekend with a lead of 22 points over No. 3 Oregon in the AP poll and a lead of 77 points on the Ducks in the coaches poll which account in the BCS rankings. Oregon beat Washington State 1-5, 43-23, which was not the kind of victory that Oregon has to jump over the Buckeyes. In addition, Illinois beat Penn State’s was the Buckeyes’ win difficult to compare Illinois last week.
Although several Buckeyes actually wrote messages on Twitter after the loss of Alabama they would not be ranked No. 1 tight end and receiver Jake Stonebuner Divert Posey seems to embrace the chance.
“Well. We are ready for it! This is what we came here,” Stoneburner wrote.

This ranking will be No. 1 in the polls yet. The first BCS rankings will not be released until next weekend, Oct. 17.
B + – the protection of Ohio Terrell Pryor
The Ohio State coaches will not know if Indiana Terrell Pryor has been hampered by his outstretched left quad, so they played this week until he recovers.
“Indiana does not know, I could not run, no doubt,” said Pryor.
Although OSU’s offensive line was not perfect – Pryor does bent backwards a little on one of three bags, he took – the protection was sufficient to get Pryor in the game without its injury worse.Vikings.

“We always know when they get a shot on him, they will try it out,” OSU center Mike Brewster said of opposing defenses. “He said he was wrong, but” forget it, I will play. “We know that we must protect it as we can.”

It seems that Norwell should not be a long-term answer. OSU coach Jim Tressel said Shugart has been struggling with a foot problem for three years that began this week in practice, if the coaches have decided to leave early.
“We do not want it to get to the point where it would be something he would be out,” said Tressel. “We have great confidence in Andrew Norwell.”
Remember, Norwell is a second reason teamer sophomore Marcus Hall, who was to be the No. 2 right tackle, is red-shirts this season because of academic problems.
D – Indiana Hoosiers
Indiana came up with the No. 4 passing offense in the country and seemed to some like a team that could give the Buckeyes some problems. It never happened. The Hoosiers, now 3-2, did themselves no favors by trying not to run with the ball too, despite the best running back Darius Willis sitting on the game with an injury. Willis had 278, Indiana 427 yards rushing in their first four games.
The first 26 rooms downstairs, Indiana has won more than three yards on only six snaps. Indiana tried to run on 19 of those plays, gaining 49 total yards – 28 on two plays. Thus, the remaining 17 first runs down through Indiana gained 21 yards, just over one meter per play. Hoosiers dig themselves a hole on almost every series.
“We were just looking for a way to get a first down,” Indiana coach Bill Lynch said. “We’ve been lucky so far this year in that we were able to enter a game and find our rhythm, so that shows how Ohio State is good. We did not come in thinking we would be able to move the ball around.
“We played a great team out there today and we knew that coming through in all our study of this season, we knew this team was amazing and they have a bright future.
