Breast cancer awareness in Indonesia

Indonesia-The famous pink ribbon is now sneaking in ROXY collection called ROXY PINK. It isn’t the real pink ribbon that is found in the designs but the collection voices the same awareness towards breast cancer.
ROXY, a popular brand by Quicksilver Inc. specializing in surf-wear sent ROXY PINK to the market in Jakarta, Oct. 15, 2010. It includes three T-shirt designs, available in four colors; pink, purple, white and black. It is available in all ROXY stores, surf stores and department stores throughout Indonesia.

25% of ROXY PINK sales will be channeled to Jakarta Breast Health Foundation (YKPJ) to take action against breast cancer, No. 2 deadliest disease for Indonesian female. YKPJ itself runs several ways to raise breast cancer awareness in Indonesian women like counseling program, mammography on the road and YKPJ website.
“It’s a form of our support and sympathy for breast cancer in Indonesia. Roxy, as a woman’s label, thinks they should encourage Indonesian women to pay attention in keeping breast’ health,” said Simon MacGregor, Quicksilver Southeast Asia marketing executive.
