Camelot is a historical-fantasy-drama television series co-produced by the Starz cable network and GK-TV that began production during the summer of 2010, with planned to premiere on April 1, 2011. The series, based on the Arthurian legend. The series is produced by Graham King, Morgan O'Sullivan and Michael Hirst.

Plot Synopsis

Tagline: "New blood will rule."
Based on the 15th century book Le Morte d'Arthur by Sir Thomas Malory, the series tells the legendary story of Camelot and its many characters. Beginning with the sudden death of King Uther and the birth of Arthur--Uther’s illegitimate son and heir to the throne--chaos threatens the land and people of Britain. In this gritty and raw version, the sorcerer Merlin has visions of a dark future, and uses his magic to bring a young Arthur, who has been raised from birth as a commoner, to the crown. However, Arthur’s cold-hearted half sister, Morgan wants the crown for herself and will fight him at any cost by summoning unnatural forces in a battle for control of Camelot. Tough times are in store for the new king, with moral decisions to be made and the task of uniting his kingdom that has been broken by many years of war. But Arthur meets and falls in love with Guinevere, the only elegance left in his deceptive world.
"Forget everything you think you know...this is the story of Camelot that has never been told before."
